The question many people have is… What is bikepacking?
Simply put, it’s like backpacking but you’re using your bike instead of your feet (mostly) as your form of transport. Lots of people bikepack in endurance races lasting from one night to a month or more. Others, just go out, alone or with friends, for a night out away from home.
As far as kit, the options vary so much in regards to how long you’re planning to be away, whether there is access to food and water as well as the want or need to just have fun and cook out.
